29/365 - Hugging the Stars

Colors Used: I love this yarn's Grey Beard, Sungold, Ivory, and Hot rose

This is one of the first patterns I've come across that really doesn't lend itself to color changes at all. There is way too much going on with the pattern and it looks too busy with the color changes. There's bobbles, twists, and front post stitches around the star that don't stand out as well.  So I would encourage you to try this but only use one color (a light color at that) to get the full effect. I had to cut out some rows to make this 8" and I think it's still a bit big.

This pattern is very similar to Queen Anne's Lace, but just different enough. I kind of like this one more.

I'm really drawn to the clusters at the corners on this one.

This one looks really difficult but it's really not. I love the design and it's thick enough that you could use it for a hot pad.

I was saving this one for Christmas, but it doesn't really snow here at Christmas and it has been snowing like crazy here so it was only appropriate that I make it now.

A big thank you to Adaiha for testing my pattern for me. She is doing a Granny a Day this year too and we have crocheted many of the same squares.
