I can't believe I hadn't made a true "granny square" yet! For any of you that have been inspired by this project and want to start joining in, this square is where you should start! Pip from "Meet me at Mike's" has an awesome crochet school that will help you get started crocheting and making your first granny square.
And FYI I'll be having a crochet a-long in May ( A Granny a Day in the month of May?) where I will share the list of all the grannies we will make each day a week before hand so if you want to join in and don't know how to crochet yet, you have 3 whole months to get ready!

Kelly,
I should have mentioned this duh! Using the h hook, my squares are all about 8 inches. All of the squares in this book end up being the same size if you use the same sized hook.
