Vintage Pattern: Nasturtium Afghan from Star Afghan Book No. 154 American Thread Company (the link may or may not work. It's an archived web page so it's hit or miss sometimes)
Hook used: H
Colors Used: I love this yarn's Grey Beard, Old Leaf, Ivory, Sungold and Hot Rose.
This pattern is soo lovely! I've been very inspired by vintage patterns lately and I think I'm going to try to work more of those in to this project. I'm very interested in re-working some thread beadspread patterns into squares as well. I have a lot of old workbaskets and vintage crochet magazines to look through too!
To get this one to work as a square you need to do an extra row after the 7th round. It requires an SC in every stitch with a HDC in every chain and 2 SC CH2 2 SC in the corners. It evens out the sides more.
Mm, mm, mm.
That gold with the gray and touch of pink. Mmmmmm.
