Finished!

Remember these? Well I updated my pattern and have made it available for download on the sidebar. I named them "Double the Lace, Double the fun."

The only differences are that I changed the yarn and the decreases. On the originals I worked the decreases into the lace, which made the edging by the lacing look better but the lace looked kind of wonky. On the pattern, I did more space in between the lacing and the lace pattern then decreased along the edges so they weren't so noticeable. I'm not sure which I like better. I can tell you I like the new yarn better! Microspun is so much better than simply soft. I wish I had the means to buy more expensive yarn (these would be awesome in cashmere), but student loans and a car payment are kind of important at the moment.

I don't know what do you think? Is the difference that noticeable? If you like the look of the first one better, tell me I'll totally add it to the directions as well. Its just a lot more work to type it out to be understandable. I was afraid I would be the only one who got it. Where as this other pattern is much more user friendly.

I love mine, but I think there's something wrong with my arms. They are definitely not too big, but they slide down my arms quite a bit. I would say its the yarn, but the simply soft did it as well. Oh well, I don't mind pulling them up occasionally.

And remember I've only been knitting a year. If there are problems with the pattern, or you know how to decrease lace, tell me, please! I always love learning new things. I'm just a fearless knitter and figure stuff out on my own, even if its not the "proper" way.
