There aren't enough Wednesdays left for me to share everything, so I'll be posting more wedding stuff throughout the week as well since the wedding is almost a month away!
Our invitations were mailed about a month ago. I'm so in love with them.
I've talked about the process I was using on our invitations before. It was a long process and a lot of trial and error. But everything was worth it. These invitations are totally me. I can't say us. There's really not a lot of "us" about these, but Sheldon did approve of everything and told me which fonts he liked and wording etc. so I definitely feel good about them.
Our whole wedding is really molding around crafts (lots of quilts, fabric, ribbon, buttons and embroidery) so I really wanted these invitations to reflect that. All of the elements were handstitched by me and I added the ribbon stickers to the front of the envelopes because they just needed a little something. I printed every piece on my home printer and we (my mom and bridesmaid, Bri) cut all of them with a ruler and rotary blade. Some day I will share the story with you about why we had to hand cut all of them, because it still makes me mad at myself.
I've received so many great comments from our guests regarding our invitations. Many of them say they won't be throwing these away. That really makes me happy because I wanted to create something completely unique and definitely don't want hours of work thrown in the trash.
So just in case you haven't been keeping up, here's a picture of all of the paper goods I've made for the wedding:
Eventually we'll talk budget and I'll number crunch prices for you, but I saved a ton doing it all myself. And wouldn't trade any of the hours I spent on all this for anything. It has been super rewarding!
