I know, I know, there are actually things I'm not making for this wedding. Hard to believe I know! In fact, I planned on making the these but since the wedding is only 50 or so days away, I realized I can't do everything and I didn't really have a plan for how to make them or what they would look like. What's funny is that almost every normal bride that wants a little diy flair ends up making her own flower girl baskets and/or ring bearer pillow. Hot glue can make anyone a crafter, so I thought, "I'll throw something together, it's not a big deal."
But then I saw these beauties at Hobby Lobby and they were 50% off and I was totally sold.
Something that was beautiful that somewhat matched the vintage theme I was going for for the ceremony?! Yes please. And of course I had to get the matching ring bearer pillow:
I just love them. It will be our little secret that they aren't handmade. ;)
Ok so to justify buying these already made items, here's something I made this week:
I scanned in a vintage sheet, used the silhouette from our bedroom and decided this cross stitched font would be a perfect match with the craft theme that seems to be running through the wedding. They are printed on linen cardstock so they look like fabric. I ordered tiffany blue envelopes to match our invitations (which I've completely forgotten to share!! Next week, I promise).
Ok back to the grind for me. I have ribbon to tie on bubbles, tags to tie on to fans, programs to design, and 1-inch button favors to make. Oh and my shower is this weekend! I'll probably have some fun pictures to share. It's a beach themed party since I'm going to be Mrs. Beach. :)
