I love doing these end of year posts because I enjoy going back through old blog posts to see where I've been. It's especially nice when it shows growth, in anyway. Thankfully this year has been full of a lot of growth both personal and professional.
January
I began selling my handmade goods at DNA Galleries. One of my goals this year was to sell in 3 brick and mortar stores. I made it to two. And really, that's all I had time for so I call that a success.
February
I completed my studio! This before and after picture speaks for itself on how big of an achievement that was.
March
I became a part of the kitschy digitals creative team and shared this embroidered vintage camera bag as my first project.
April
Consisted of lots of family time, including plenty of easter egging with my beautiful nieces!
May
I graduated from my Masters program in Libary science and we took a trip to Austin for the Renegade Craft Fair. I want Austin to be my home away from home.
June
We welcomed our new new niece, Olive, to the world! Thanks to her I officially have baby fever.
July
We sent out invitations to our wedding, which I designed and made myself. They were a huge pain but so worth it. Many of our friends still have them hanging on their fridges :)
August
August was crazy busy with wedding prep and an untimely home burglary (boo thieves!) but this spur of the moment, backyard, cold front picnic with my love was my absolutely favorite memory from that month and just what I needed when the stress was ready to take over.
September
October
Catching up on our lives after planning the wedding seemed like the only thing on the agenda in October and to tell you the truth I'm still trying to catch up! But October is our all-time favorite month and we still managed to do all of our favorite things, including the annual family pumpkin carving party.
November
This year had it's fair share of sorrows but losing our sweet little Bella to kidney failure was by far the worst. I still miss her everyday.
December
I had my first blog series! The 12 Days of Christmas was definitely a preview of what's to come in 2011 here on Craftyminx.com I hope to bring my internet home to a new level with more tutorials and inspiration this year.
So here's to you 2010 I can't wait to see what 2011 brings.
