Sometimes crocheting a flat piece of fabric won't do. Texture makes pieces interesting by providing something for the eye to be drawn to. We're going to go over 4 common ways to create texture in this lesson.
I will just be using the double crochet stitch for the demonstration videos. But all of the stitches work the same for these 4 techniques.
When you encounter these stitches in patterns they will usually be abbreviated. Below are their common abbreviations. We'll revisit all of the abbreviations we have learned when we talk about reading patterns.
