Dash chilling in his favorite spot while I was laid up this week.
My doctor called in some antibiotics for me today so I am going to be getting well very soon! Thanks for hanging in there Crochet School students! While I'm totally prepared for this class, I was highly underestimating the crapiness of our internet speed and was not anticipating being attacked by a sinus infection. I now realize that waiting to upload videos until the night before a lesson is just stupid so I'm hoping to get that all fixed this weekend.
Let's just say as much as you guys have learned in crochet school, I've learned 2 times more about the video functions of my camera, lighting, trying to film with a puppy, editing videos and online teaching. I do have to re-film a couple of the next lessons though so if I sound hoarse or as Sheldon says "sexy" just realize I have been coughing a lot and my vocal chords are in bad shape. Also, readers who are not participating in crochet school, I have other normal posts planned too, they just took a back seat this week.
On to the list. If you're new to the blog because of crochet school, I've started making a Friday list of all the things I plan to do on the weekend (mainly to keep myself on track) and then I usually do a photographic highlight of the weekend on Monday called Weekend Workings. So here are my plans this weekend:
- First and foremost -- get better!
- Catch up crochet school posts and start uploading next week's videos.
- Sweep and Mop all of our floors. This is such a challenge because we have really battered 90 year-old wood floors so they have to be mopped and then treated with murphy's oil.
- Hopefully get out the Halloween decorations and make some of these for a table centerpiece. I've had these on my "to make" list since Danielle originally posted the tutorial. This may be my year :)
- Photo a fun nail DIY for a guest post ;)
- Do some crocheting that doesn't involve a tutorial.
- Make Erin's Salted Caramel Pumpkin Spice Cake Truffles for a work United Way bake auction on Monday.
- Try to hunt down some good white foundation for Halloween. I may have to shell out the big bucks for some Illamasqua. If I do this I may have to just decide to go Goth. That's a big investment for two costumes.
I just realized that Sheldon is pretty much going to be gone all weekend. So I can pretty much already tell you that some of this won't happen. Puppy wrangling is my life now.
Crochet School Students lesson 5 will be posted tonight half of the videos are uploaded, but I still have two more to upload when I get home.
