Hey Everyone! First off, Dash is doing great, but I have had to watch him like a hawk! He loves running around like a complete fool, so instead of playing our nightly games of fetch and going on walks and what-not I got him and Dewey antlers to chew on. It keeps him calm and helps get rid of those annoying puppy teeth (he's lost two with it so far). Of course he hid both of the antlers on Saturday and Sheldon and I can't find them anywhere... Silly pup. He still has a week until we get his sutures removed so I really hope I can keep him calm for a little while longer.
I was able to film the seaming lesson videos yesterday which means I will be editing and loading videos tonight and posting the next lesson tomorrow! Leave any questions you want answered for the final lesson in the comments if you keep running across problems when you're crocheting. I've been compiling a list of things I want to add to that post.
I've also created a little table of contents for crochet school that will go up after the final two lessons that way you can bookmark one page that will lead you to each lesson.
Now for a little bad news. I am not going to have the textbook ready by the end of crochet school. Its progress has been slow because of varying reasons, but the biggest reason is that I'm worn thin. I can only do so many things, and while that is a big priority for me, it's not at the top of the list. I haven't mentioned this yet but I am participating in Deluxe (a local craft show that I participate in every year but had to miss last year for family reasons) and have had to put a lot of things on hold so I can make enough stuff to sell. Having a full time job really gets in the way of me getting to do all of these fun things at once, so I have to do one thing at a time because family and friends are my biggest priority, then my job, then my crafty life/blog. So the textbook has unfortunately had to be pushed to after the new year when I will have some extra time again. It will probably be called the "crochet school pattern book" now that textbook would just sound weird a month later haha. I know many of you were looking forward to it so I hate to make you wait longer, but I'm not superwoman. I'll create a mailing list for those of you who want to know when it is ready. I'll add the form for that to the table of contents page.
Thank you to each and every one of you who has sent me messages about how much you are enjoying crochet school and how appreciative you are. I'm not going to lie, this class has been exhausting for me but every time I see a photo of what you have created when you didn't even know what a crochet stitch was in the beginning is VERY rewarding. I am so proud of all of you! I am planning for more "school" type classes for spring and fall with more manageable time-lines (for me) than crochet school.
Does anyone else feel like the holidays are looming over them? I have a lot of gifts to make and what seems like no time. We're also planning Friendsgiving and a big Christmas party this year so Pinterest is my best friend right now. :)
