For those of you actually reading this on the blog, you may notice that it looks a little different. I decided to go with a more minimal look because, much like my home life, the stuff was making me feel like I was suffocating. All the sidebar stuff was just taking away from what I really want this blog to be about... the content. So I got rid of all the excess (something I've been doing while unpacking the new house) and streamlined the information I thought was important. I'm still tweaking with the design here and there, but the bones are in place and I feel oh so much better about it!
Something else that is new is the addition of a donate button. You can read more about that here. I decided a long time ago that if I started blogging again, I would add a donate button so I could do bigger and better things with the blog, like ahem... knitting school! I feel like a donate button is a better option for me because reader support is more community building than monetizing by ads or sponsors.
In other news, Sheldon and I had some photos taken a couple of weeks ago by Robyn Icks who also did our wedding photography. I can't wait to share the photos with you all and pretty up the about page with some of them.
Well I guess that is all that is happening right now other than getting ready for summer reading at work and fighting allergies. I'm planning a book review post for Friday so hopefully that gives you something to look forward to ;).
