I'm loving my job!! I thought I would have some time to blog this weekend but my mom was in town for her birthday and we did a lot of yard work. I didn't even have time to get on the computer. I went thrifting for the first time in months today. It was so much fun and I found some really cute stuff. I'll try to check in this week :)

Craft Supply Challenge - Week 4

This week's supply is kind of a wildcard. I want you all to recycle something for your supply. It can be leftovers from another project (like the pictured yarn ends) or something else in your house that you want to recyle for a project. Be creative!!

This week's supply is Buttons! I'm a true life button hoarder. My favorites are the brightly colored plastic ones, but I don't discriminate which buttons are added to my stash. Since I have so many I thought this would be a great supply for the challenge so I could get some ideas for using my collection.

Craft Supply Challenge - Week 2

Sorry I'm a day late. We have had a 4-day weekend and I didn't realize it was Sunday yesterday until the light was leaving. I've completed all the posts for the rest of the month so that won't happen again!

 

This week's supply is (surprise, surprise) Glitter! Not only a favorite supply of mine, but one of my favorite things in the entire world. I'm really passionate about glitter.  You don't have to use loose glitter. You can use glitter glue, glitter paint, glitter paper -- anything that has glitter.

Craft Supply Challenge - Week 1

This week's supply is Mod Podge! 

This is probably one of my favorite craft supplies. I went through a period of time where all I did was collage things with mod podge. I got really good at it and then realized that I probably should take a break before I collaged a wall (it was totally leading there). Somehow a friend and I even talked our boss at the OBU library to let us to collage all of the book carts with different themes during summer break. So let's get back to my roots and glue some stuff together!

Craft Supply Challenge!

 

Since March is national craft month I thought it might be fun to host a little blog challenge for the month and use the linky tools account I have for everyone to show off their skills. So here's the deal....

• Each week I'll announce a supply of choice. They won't be expensive and should be things most crafters already have. 
• You create a project based on the supply and blog about it. It can be a How-to blog or just a here's what I made blog.  You'll be able to link to posts until the end of the month.
• You'll link up your post in the linky tools for each week.  
• Craftyminx readers will vote on their favorite post. 
• The four winners (one from each week) will get a month of free ad-space on craftyminx. Remember, I don't offer paid advertising so these people will be the only ads on the blog for a month. 

Rules:

• One entry per person just to make things fair
• Original ideas are preferred. 
• Be creative! Using the supply in an unconventional way is not only allowed but is encouraged. 
• Don't be limited to the supply, use whatever else you need to in order to make your project.

The fun starts tomorrow, March 4th!!! Each challenge after will start on the following Sundays.

Hi everyone!! I thought the beginning of the year would be a great time to do my first ever reader survey. There won't be a lot of changes to come from this survey, it's more of a get to know my demographic survey, but I would love it if you would take a couple of minutes to fill it out.
